Why do I need an agent?

Entering/Exiting Singapore with Student loan debt

zp1995:
I'm asking for my girlfriend who is Singaporean.

She needs to go back to Singapore to collect inheritance money but has outstanding student loan debt.
She left Singapore last October and hasn't made a payment since. She thinks with interest her loan could now total over 10k and she is worried about being arrested on arrival or not being allowed to leave to come back.

Can she enter and leave Singapore without any trouble? She has not been contacted about it (as far as she knows, unless a letter has been sent to her home)

Thanks

Re-enter SG

KLK:
(Need advise) from Malaysia..within this 2months already in out SG already 3-4times... last immigration just give 2days stay only....then leave on last day given and I also apply as lorry driver (yellow card) chop at passport to daily drive lorry in out for delivery from JB to Singapore on that day too, but on this chop got remain 30days stay...then I already got drive lorry in SG for delivery.....possibly I still can re-enter SG by by bus with the White card?

Re: Long term visit pass application requirements

sundaymorningstaple:
Not that I'm aware of, but I'm sure it helps. Kind of like the Annex A for a PR application. It's not really necessary any more but it always looks better when the company your work for supports your application considering it means more employer employment costs re: Employer's CFP contributions.

Personal Training

midlet2013:
Hi

What options do I have to have Personal Gym training once a week.

I used to do personal training at Fitness First but I paid 150$ membership fee + trainer cost.

Currently I do training with the trainer but in gym outside. He hosts in a hotel gym.

So, I am thinking of quitting Fitness First. I can do personal activity in my office gym. But I would like to have a personal trainer once a week.

Are there options for PT without 150$ Gym Membership ??

Re: RE: Re: Applying for PR next week.

ecureilx:

If not applicable, put a N/A or you'll be doing that in front of the collecting officer.

Re: RE: Re: S-pass application: no record found

ecureilx:
Awesome! Thanks ecureilx for the quick reply! Appreciate it.

No need details lol. But if you do know how ICA WORKS...we (specially I) would like to know hehe. ;)
How ICA works ? Nobody outside ICA knows I guess .. I and a few contributors provide updates based on experience and sharing info.

If you meant how ICA can flag you, so some search here about posts from those who were denied entry to Singapore.

Re: RE: Re: S-pass application: no record found

ecureilx:
Thanks guys. Good discussion. One quick question. Again hehe. :)

If a pass is pending; will that person have trouble coming to Singapore (immigration) given normally that nationality is getting one month on-arrival visa? The pending application at MOM will result no entry granted or any other problem will occur at air port immigration?

Thanks guys!

We aim to please ;)

No, unless the candidate is being watched by ICA, for possible suspicious travel pattern, 100% fret not!

Does the above help, or would you like a detailed reply including how ICA works ? ;)

Re: PR chances for Japanese

Mad Scientist:

I am retired now but I used to work for the Ministries and one of them is the former ICA called SIR, The selection of Prship is based solely on what you submitted in PR application form. Then they will do their due diligence
Main criteria is race, religion , kinship , tax (you have to pay tax), education but not in this order .
These are the main criteria. They will tinker with it based on social and political landscape at that given time.
Quotas are set by the gahmen . Not what is in demand by any sector of any industries or lack of it
BBCW throws a big smoke screen in front of you.
Prepare all your docs and submit it to your best knowledge. The only thing I can think of is to increase your shareholder stake and prepare a a flow chart or future business plans in your submission on your intention to expand your Singapore business and hiring locals in your company as a cover note or part of your resume. These has been done before and it helps to increase your chances if the main criteria meets the requirement.
PR to Japanese applicants have been approved before mainly for big MNC directors such as Matsushita Electric Industries, Nippon Paint etc but the numbers are very small.

@Mods : i have nothing against BBCW but if he/she keeps on giving twisted and blurry replies to questions posted by posters , these arguments will not stop.
Getting infos from Mr Google only covers 30 to 40% of the answers, The rest will comes from real life experiences. The forum has enough experienced people that has been there and done that to know if someone is BSh*tting or not
I said it before and I said it again if you Mods do not keep a check on what BBCW posted, this forum will land in hot water.

Re: RE: Re: Long term visit pass application requirements

ecureilx:

I never knew that ...

Question, does that sponsoring of sponsored application help overcome the salary requirement?

Re: Long term visit pass application requirements

sundaymorningstaple:
True but they usually want a sponsor if you don't have local relatives who can do it so companies often have to sign as sponsors (if they are willing to, that is).

Re: SC application approved

sundaymorningstaple:
No, obviously common sense cannot be cut and pasted.....
