Hihi! I went for my 2nd blood test on 10june after receiving the call from clinic on 6june.
Did you do a third blood test?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nope i didn't. I was told i had low hemoglobin so i took iron supplement for 3 days before going for the 2nd blood test and apparently i passed?

Wow ,that's fast! You took Sangobion ?

Re: Buying computer equipment/parts from the US?

Sure. I only wander if you have a permission to use parts from the Amazon's logo in the logo on your page and if you are allowed to use the phrase "amazon singapore" clearly suggesting your links with Amazon?

Re: Non-Competition after Employment

PNGMK:
Singapore courts take a dim view of restriction of trade clauses in contracts. I'd not worry about it. IF you are fired or quit and they harras you for damages have a solicitor write them a letter.

Re: Non-Competition after Employment

Hello everyone,

I was offered a new contract by my employer and they added the following clause to the contract. From what i understand it shows that if i quit or get fired i can not work for any competitor for 12 or 6 or 3 or 1 month (?) Dont understand what will determine the period.

I asked my collegues and i am the only one who has it....I am an analyst for a broker and even the sales people have just 1 month guardian leave...

Any ideas if it is enforceable especially for 12 months?

"You may not - for the duration of the non-compete period manage, be employed by, directly or indirectly assist or be interested in any business in the restricted territory that essentially and materially computer with the activities of the company and/or any related corporation in the restricted territory.
The non-compete period means:
a) a period of 12 months from the date of termination of your employment but if that period causes a restriction in clause above to be held to be legally unenforceable, then:
b) a period of 6 months from the termination eaten, but if that period causes a restriction in clause above to be held to be legally unenforceable, then:
c) a period of 3 months from the termination date, but if that period causes a restriction in clause above to be legally unenforceable, then:
d) a period of 1 month from the termination date"
Almost certainly 12 months is not enforceable. It is either 6 or 3 months (IIRC more likely the later) and is probably to some extent circumstantial. I would suggest to visit a lawyer and pay this $100-300, just to be sure or ask somebody from HR that you think may know and will be honest with you.

Re: EP Processing Time

SaiShiv:
Mine was applied on 10 June n it is still pending.. Has anyone received approval or tried calling mom? One of my frnds ep was applied on 12 May and he received approval in 3 days.. Not sure if things have changed after that.. Does it matter which agency/company applied your ep?

Re: UK vote to leave the EU ['BREXIT'] - 23rd June

JR8:
Yep, closed +22 vs the pre-BREXIT vote count. The weak £ is troublesome if you're converting/repatriating funds ex-£, but in the meantime it materially boosts profits of FTSE company overseas sales.
Eurostoxx-50 +2.66%. Wall Street is following through quite nicely too, and oil up 4/+% on the day.
Your timing has come good very sweetly there WD :)

ps the head of the BOE Mark Carney is making an unscheduled speech tomorrow at 3pm . That'll be interesting, perhaps now the tide has turned he'll cement it with soothing words/added liquidity and so on.

Would you be so kind as to explain why you are posting from a California ISP while claiming to be here in Singapore? Curosity....

I fly back and forth to Singapore. Sorry if that bothers you, I only want to share some of my experience shopping. This will be my last post about the topic. :)

QueensG- brilliant catch!

JR8- It's not hipster enough if it ain't vegan. Shouldn't they be serving Organic Kale crisps "kettle cooked" if that were a thing, with toasted quinoa sprinkles and seasoned with artisanal hand gleaned Himalayan "ancient sea" salt?

Yeah, it is interesting. I wonder if it is better to pay the insanely rich behemoths a dime or add ten to the coffers of the many VC/crowdfunded smarties who will one day be a dozen times richer than me and rubbing it in my face. Just to appear different?

Artisanal today, mainstream tomorrow. Thank you Private Equity. But wont be long when you look at a hoegaarden bottle and think- remember those days...

Think I'll go buy some stock in one of them crowdfunded IPAs myself ...

The move from the mainstream staple brands is an interesting one. Because the mainstream has something of a strangle-hold, and also the alternatives are $more.

I'm currently enjoying a packet of Golden Duck brand Gourmet Salted Egg Yolk crisps. $6 for 125g, but delicious to try. The packaging has the whole nostalgic/hipster theme. There's so much seasoning on them I'm eating them from a bowl using a dessert spoon! Wowzer.

I take it the chap who gave them to us is a convert, he brought back 15 bags!
